#TPS4Mauritania Week Of Action!
Ohio is home to many Black Mauritanians and their families who fled genocide decades ago. With slavery, land grabbing, state violence, stripping of citizenship, and other abuses still happening, many are also seeking asylum in the United States today.
The Biden administration and Congress CAN take steps to bring stability to Black Mauritanians. Join us by taking at least one action from this toolkit every day! The toolkit was created by the TPS For Mauritania Working Group, with Mauritanian Network for Human Rights in US, UndocuBlack Network, USCRI, and others.
We demand both EMERGENCY protection, in the form of Temporary Protected Status, Deferred Enforced Departure, parole, or other administrative actions—as well as PERMANENT protection with a path to citizenship from Congress.
